The Western Visayas Agriculture Aquatic and Resources Research and
Development Consortium continued to strengthen the research capabilities of its
consortium member institutions through another follow-up capability building
training entitled “Research Proposal Preparation and Data Analysis Writeshop.”
The seminar which was held last September 23-25, 2015 at Iloilo Midtown Hotel
in Iloilo City served as a refresher course for aspiring faculty-researchers who
are already conducting researches. A
total of thirty researchers representing WESVAARRDEC’s various member agencies
attended the three-day lecture workshop.
Facilitated by Dr. Cherry Nepomuceno of
WVSU Learning Assessment Center and Dr. Greta G. Gabinete of the University
Research and Development Center, the seminar aimed to equip the said
participants with knowledge on
operational research methods and design as well as
skills on writing research proposals for research funding by prospective
agencies such as CHED-GIA, PCAARRD-GIA etc. The activity is supported in part by the Grants-in-Aid (GIA) Program of the Department of Science and Technology Regional Office VI.
